DEWA joins forces with Cisco


Cisco has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), at GITEX, to explore various opportunities for collaboration in e-services.

“This new achievement is an inherent part of our strategic plan to increase competition, productivity and staff development DEAT and promote the technological development of telecommunications networks and providing technical support in network design DEAT , “said Saeed Mohamed Al-Tayer, director general and CEO of DEWA.

Cisco focuses on three main areas of cooperation, building human capacity, allowing DEAT best practices and ensure that all e-services offered are reliable and safe DEAT. His initial focus will be on the exchange of information and services through multiple channels.

DEAT and Cisco are also planning to collaborate on the development of new services in line with DEAT information and communication technologies. The service supply company plans to use Cisco’s advanced technologies to add more value to the services of DEAT.
