IT professionals need to better understand cloud says AMD

CIOs AND IT MANAGERS need a better understanding of cloud computing, according to John Fruehe, Director, Product Marketing, AMD.

Google gets the attention of businesses at GITEX

Google Enterprise division has been holding a successful week at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK, with the number of inquiries from potential customers than the company’s expectations.

Google says it has been flooded with CIO and other business figures trying to figure out what the seller can offer.

DragonWave inks key to deal

DragonWave, a U.S. company that specializes in systems with microwave packet radio for backhaul and mobile network access, has an agreement with the blue box, a fixed wireless provider in the Middle East and the U.S. signed.

DragonWave to be exhibited at the GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK Horizon Compact product to enable use WiMAX backhaul at speeds up to 200 Mbit / s for Enterprise Zone blues and residential customers throughout Jordan.

“The Horizon Compact is a key element in our growth strategy,” said Ahmed El-Mahdawy, CEO for the blue zone. “It offers advanced levels of scalability port, throughput, latency and spectral efficiency will allow us to offer our customers cost offers on the latest technology.”

Greg Friesen, Vice President, Product Management, DragonWave, the company has the largest capacity in the industry and is also the only supplier for all outdoor industry.

“These are our key differences. We have to focus on the packaging. We have an advanced packet-optimized solution while focusing most of our competitors on a combination of packet and TDM,” he added.
