Juniper Networks has announced the launch of its Mobile Video Optimization solution, which will expand its portfolio of media flow.
The solution is designed to dramatically improve the economics of video delivery over mobile networks and enhance the visual experience of the user.
Juniper’s new Mobile Video Optimization solution is designed to provide intelligent caching, compression and transcoding to optimize the flow of mobile video.
The solution is designed to enable mobile operators to offer premium video content to subscribers and offer new business opportunities.
Juniper Networks has partnered with innovative global software Openwave Systems Inc. for video optimization solution that combines the media flow controller Juniper Networks and the provision of services gateway (SDG) is running on your MX 3D Universal Edge Router with Openwave Optimizer media .
The SDG provides a set of quality services such as Carrier Grade NAT, Firewall, deep packet inspection, application load balancing and direct traffic on a single platform, designed to reduce latency, complexity and cost.
“We are very pleased to work with Juniper to address the tremendous opportunity around mobile video optimization,” said Ken Denman, CEO of Openwave Systems. “By integrating our video technology with Juniper’s industry leading media stream content delivery platform and MX 3D Universal Edge Router, mobile operators can maximize their network assets and provide a superior quality of experience.”
Juniper expanded Media Flow Solutions are designed to help mobile operators overcome the congestion RAN and RAN leverage their existing investment to deliver high quality of experience as the video stream for phones increases.
Mobile Video Optimization Solution combines the functions of SDG and optimization in a single platform, reducing costs compared to traditional optimization solutions, according to Juniper.
“Our combined solution sets a new benchmark in video optimized for 3G and LTE networks, while delivering up to 36% in investment cost savings for the growth of the data network,” said Manoj Leelanivas, VP president and general manager of application software Junos, Juniper Networks. “Operators can provide intelligence in real time applications with the policies of the subscriber to innovate new models of monetization while providing superior user experience.”
