IBM and Equinix on Wed unrolled plans to place huge Blue’s SoftLayer on the Equinix Cloud Exchange, which supplies enterprises an instantaneous association from hosted knowledge centers to public cloud services.
Equinix has become a key link for hybrid cloud deployments and provides direct interconnects to Amazon net Services, Microsoft Azure and Google’s Cloud Platform.
For IBM, the Equinix partnership permits it to place SoftLayer in 9 markets across earth, Asia Pacific and Europe. Those 9 markets even have access to those said public cloud services. With the treaty, SoftLayer can become a key choice on the Equinix exchange.
Separately, IBM aforementioned the Equinix deal provides it twelve new cloud knowledge centers to bring its footprint to forty. The 9 knowledge centers within the Equinix deal can complement daisy cutter locations in city, Ciudad de Mexico and capital of Japan
