Bahrain MOE and Cisco to partner on education

The two will work together to develop a technology blueprint, which will encompass best practice and the latest technology to enhance education in Bahrain, in line with the Kingdom’s strategic vision for 2030.

The agreement, signed yesterday at the Cisco Networkers Bahrain 2010 event, will include integration of ICT into K-12 curriculum, and the development of the technology blueprint, which will provide a model of how technology solutions can be deployed in schools.

Cisco will also help the Ministry of Education to use UNESCO’s ‘Education IT Maturity’ model to asses schools in the Kingdom on their readiness of educational establishments to further utilize IT in education and administration.

The company will also share best practices to further the Ministry’s higher education reform agenda.
