Cisco shows off Cius Android tablet

The Cius sports Cisco’s collaboration software, which integrates virtual desktop applications with high-definition video. It is designed to be used for video conferencing and it connects to the internet via Wi-Fi or 3G.

The tablet is based on the Android operating system and features an interface that lets users access important contacts quickly. Like Apple’s iPad tablet, the Cius also has an accelerometer inside, enabling the screen to be orientated in a landscape or portrait format.

The Cico Cius is due to ship in early 2011 and is targeted at the healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and retail sectors.
