Cisco will pay $ 31 million acquisition of UK subsidiary Comptel

Beijing time on August 22 evening news, Cisco announced today, will be 21.3 million euros (about $ 31 million) cash acquisition of UK subsidiary Comptel (formerly known as “Axiom Systems”) of software assets and employees. Cisco’s 2008 acquisition of Axiom Systems.

Through this acquisition, Cisco hopes to expand its IP network platform, network and service management, ensuring service providers a single management structure in order to provide users with faster new video, data, mobile and cloud services. Axiom Systems will strengthen Cisco’s Cisco Prime products, to ensure that service providers better manage their networks and network services.

Cisco anticipates this transaction will be completed the third quarter of 2011, Axiom Systems team will be integrated into Cisco’s Network Management Technology Group (NMTG) and Advanced Services Division (ASG). Comptel Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and director Gareth Western-Neil (Gareth Senior) will join Cisco.
