Mobily unit launches new WiFi-enabled WIMAX router

Bayanat Al Oula, an affiliate of Saudi-based Mobily has launched a new WiFi-enabled router to your broadband WiMAX @ Home.

The new device can be easily installed and configured by anyone with basic technical capacity, the company said in a statement.

As with other WiFi-enabled routers can also be easily set up when users move their home because of his function plug-and-play, which eliminates the wiring and the need to install and run the configuration software.

Groups of users can connect through the router, while using the WiFi on their laptops and PCs – the router itself support speeds of up to two megabits per second (Mbps).

Bandwidth @ Home service is the first prepaid broadband in Saudi Arabia and was initially launched by Bayanat Al Mobily in four major cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Khobar.
